Navy Pier is a gigantic pier on the lake of Michigan,close to the Streeterville, almost adjacent to the famous city of Chicago. Construction of the large pier started in the year 1914(May) and in the year 1916 it was opened for the common men. In the contemporary time it was the considered to be the largest pier in the whole world: 292 ft wide and 3000ft long (89m x 914m).
